A concepts oriented course for non-science majors. A study of the major areas of biology including cell biology, energetics, genetics, natural selection, diversity, plant and animal systems, and ecology. This course may not be used to meet degree requirements for biology majors. It is advised that this course and PHYS 1014 Physical Science be taken to meet the 8 hours lab science requirement for liberal arts majors. Not applicable to a minor in Biology. This course may not be taken for credit by anyone who has passed BIOL 1113 or BIOL 1123 with a grade of C or better. Class 3. Lab 3.
