This course examines the rich history of women in American Christianity from the colonial era to the present giving attention to the importance of gender within the Christian experience. Special attention is given to women's roles in awakenings, reform movements, and missions as well as their participation within denominational traditions. Prerequisites: CSBS 1311/1312 and CSCH 2318.
