Introduction to the structure and function of macromolecules of biological importance. Emphasis on nucleic acid and protein structure, enzyme kinetics, carbohydrate and lipid chemistry. Three lecture hours each week. Prerequisites: CHEM 3371 and 3372. The accompanying laboratory (BIOL 5110) is strongly recommended for biology majors.
