Discrete time convolution. Fast convolution using the fast Fourier transform (FFT). Amplitude and phase of digital filters. Stability analyses using the Z-transform. Design of finite impulse response (FIR) digital filters through windowing and optimization approaches. Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) digital filter design approaches using transformation and optimization. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in both EE 3417 and EE 3318.
