FIN 4325 International Finance (3-0)
This course examines the financial operations of the firm from an international point of view. Topics include the history of international finance, foreign exchange markets, exchange rates determination, foreign exchange exposures (risks) for the multinational firm and techniques to hedge such exposures, international bond, equity and currency markets, trade documentation, and international capital budgeting. Economic, transaction, and accounting exposures and methods to mitigate these with foreign currency options, futures, forwards, and swaps are examined, as are the international business activities of countries (the balance of payments). Prerequisites: ECON 3320 or FIN 3310, each with a grade of "C" or better.
