Equipment and physics of x-ray production. Includes basic x-ray circuits. Also examines the relationship of conventional and digital equipment components to the imaging process. This course will explore the concepts of electricity and magnetism as applied to construction and operation of the x-ray machine. Factors and interactions involved in x-ray production will be discussed. Completion of RADR curriculum with 75% or higher in all RADR courses is required. Three lecture hours and one laboratory hour per week. Total contact hours: 64. Laboratory fee required. Credit: Three semester hours.
