A study of the development of feminist discourse through these works will also be covered. Readings may include works from Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Isabel Allende, Julia de Burgos, Luisa Valenzuela, Angeles Maestretta, Rosario Castellanos, Mercé Rodoreda, Ester Tusquets, Santa Teresa de Avila, Ana María Matute, Carmen Martín Gaite, and Rosa Montero.
