Students analyze and evaluate early childhood environments based on an overview of the theories and philosophies of culturally relevant, anti-bias (CRAB) principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP). How the past guides the future in relationship to the role of children's play, assessments and literacy development in the learning environment is explored. Forty-four hours of field experience are required. (SFCC)
