The student is introduced to operating systems used on desktop microcomputers. The course covers installation and configuration, memory and storage management, batch and script files, device drivers, troubleshooting and maintenance tools, and virus protection. Emphasis is on current Windows operating systems. The objectives of the course are based on those of the A+ Operating System (OS) Technologies Certification Exam. Prerequisite(s): CU-101 or equivalent, or instructor permission.
