The following concepts are discussed: role transition, wellness-illness continuum; nursing process, caring behaviors, prevention concepts, dosage calculations, fluid and electrolyte balance, history and physical assessment based on NANDA diagnostic categories, cultural and ethnic concerns, and selected medical conditions. Prerequisite(s): LPN license and acceptance into the Nursing program.
