(Formerly PHIL-100) This course will provide a survey of the human quest for greater understanding; connections among efforts to understand the universe; the nature of knowledge; reflections on language and other perennial questions concerning human nature and values. This course will provide an introduction to philosophical thought and issues, the intellectual systems and non-systems and writings of the great philosophers of the Western tradition. Prerequisite(s): Completion of ENGL-095 & READ-095 with a "C" or higher or assessment at college-level English and Reading.
