Description:
-
A continuation of 309, pursuing the same concerns only in a different setting: The new focus is on the ways in which the history and geography of Norwich and East Anglia in particular, and "the country" in general, can help us appreciate the production, performance or displaying of the arts in a specific cultural context. Students will build upon individual research projects undertaken in 309, studying the special impact of setting on culture. This course will fulfill neither a distribution nor a major requirement. Prerequisite: 309. Offered only in the Dickinson Humanities Program in England.
