Introduction to computer use in chemical experimentation and research, including spreadsheets and statistical programs to solve problems in chemical equilibrium and chemometrics. Real-time data acquisition hardware and software will be used to gather data for analysis in spreadsheets. Course also covers on-line searches of chemical literature using Chemical Abstracts and the Science Citation Index. Prerequisites: Chemistry 114 and Mathematics 170. Fall.
