The processes of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing, using comprehensive methods to meet the needs of a diverse, inclusive population and to teach children how to read at any age. A variety of literacy strategies and methods will be introduced to develop the literacy process through literature and other materials. Students will be exposed to emergent and developmental literacy practices: print concepts, phonemic awareness, running records, word identifi cation, fl uency, and comprehension. Prerequisites: Education 150 and 155, QPA of 2.70. Two 70-minute periods. Fieldwork. Fall. Malok, Unger
