This course is designed to help students understand and demonstrate the various dimensions of effective teaching in K-12 physical education settings. The students will learn to functionally organize and develop a physical education curriculum and program implementation philosophy in accordance with NASPE recommended standards. The students will prepare and teach educationally sound unit and managerial (routines and rules) principles, appropriate assessment, safety, game modifications, sequential progressions, and other effective teaching strategies and programming issues. Also listed as HP419. Prerequisites: HP301, HP304, and admission to the Education Department
