This course is designed for prospective teachers who are nearing completion of their certification program. The goal is to promote a successful transition from the role of student to that of educator. A sampling of topics to be discussed will be: review of the Christian philosophy of education, differences between public school and Christian school philosophies and practices, basic legal principles for educators (Buckley Amendment, copyright law, liability, Act 34 ,etc.),and Pennsylvania's Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators.
