This course is an inductive investigation and evaluation of the fundamental concepts and assumptions of sociology. Through a sustained interaction with primary sources spanning the Classical, Medieval, Modern, and Post-modern worlds, students will grapple with the fundamental assumptions and categories of sociological thought from a biblical perspective. Students will be able to articulate a biblical conception of culture and the believer's relationship to it.
