(Fall and Spring, Course Offered Every Year) A comparative phylogenetic study of protozoans and animalians. For each taxon structural and functional consideration will be given to the systems of maintenance, activity, and continuity. The course will also emphasize the ecology, behavior, and evolution of each group. Prerequisites: BIO- 110, 151. Corequisite: BIO-242. Three lecture hours per week.
