(Varies, Contact Dept. Head) The course is specifically designed not to target any one language but to offer a practical introduction to the linguistic framework common to all languages. It introduces basic linguistic terms and concepts relating to the structures, meanings, sounds, and appropriateness of words and sentences in natural language. Also, it develops skills and strategies for successful foreign language acquisition both within and outside the classroom. This course does not satisfy the Foreign Language Competency Requirement. Course will be offered as needed. No prerequisites.
