(Spring, Course Offered Every Year) The beginning acting student is introduced to the theories and practical skills of the Stanislavski system including relaxation, concentration, warm-up techniques, and improvisation exercises. Participation in scene study and monologue work, plus applying the basics of scoring, is also explored. May be taken without prerequisite course with instructor's consent. Prerequisites: THE-114.
