Intermediate course in technical topics related to computer operating system fundamentals. Covers installation, configuration and upgrading operating systems. Includes diagnosing problems and general troubleshooting skills. Basic network capabilities of operating systems are covered. Designed to help prepare students for A+ hardware certification exam. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better or concurrent enrollmentin ELEC 107, or consent of Instructional Unit. Course focus is primarily the Windows operating systems. [GE]
