Prerequisite: PSY 121 A seminar discussing psychological and other literature that attempts to explain the personality and behavior of both women and men from the perspective of gender. Equal attention is given to men's and women's issues. Topics covered include the social constructivism of gender, equity in the work-place, victimization, biological factors and gender differences in personality and development, inter-personal relationships, cultural influences on gendered behavior, and child-rearing practices.
