A course divided into three major parts. Part one covers the various dimensions of the international business field, including brief coverage of the major theories of international trade and investment. Part two deals with the environment in which international business operates, the financial variables, including balance of payment, exchange rates, and capital markets, along with the cultural, legal, political, and economic institutions with which international business firms may come in contact. Part three concentrates on the operation aspects of international business; the firm-specific variables including marketing, finance, management, accounting; and attempts to integrate the environmental with the firmspecific variables into a meaningful, conceptual framework.
