Application of advanced concepts and skills in the development of the Associate Degree Nurse's roles in complex nursing situations with adult clients/families in structured settings. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Course includes health promotion and restoration, illness and injury prevention, as well as application of the nursing process, for clients with common complex healthcare concerns. Prerequisites: Admission to ADN Program, RNSG 1343, 2261, 2201, 2162, 1110, 2163. Students must be co-enrolled in RNSG 2263 clinical component, as well as co-requisite courses RNSG 2121 and RNSG 2363 and social/ behavior science elective if not previously taken. Two theory hours per week. Credit: Two semester hours.
