This course focuses on the development of skills and techniques required for a comprehensive health assessment of the pediatric, adult, and geriatric client. The course will include health promotion and restoration, and illness and injury prevention, as well as application of the nursing process within a legal/ethical framework. Prerequisite: Admission to the ADN Program or administrative approval. Corequisite: RNSG 1114, 1205, 1413, BIOL 2402 OR RNSG 1327 & 1162 (LVN-T only). Two theory and three laboratory hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.
