This course covers the origins and development of the Western religious traditions that emerge from the Reformation. Study of the issues and thinkers pertinent to the Lutheran, Reformed, Anglican, and Radical reform movements, their subsequent developments into what are now called denominations, and the challenges that Protestant thought has faced (for example, from rationalism, romanticism, biblical criticism, and natural science).
