Study of fundamentalsof Spanish: conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture. Spanish I for Native Speakers- Introductory course for students who possess a spoken knowledge of Southwestern U.S. Spanish and who wish to develop competency in reading and writing standard Spanish. Through readings and compositions, the student will be introduced to the conventions of standard Spanish grammar and spelling.
