The purpose of this course is to examine strategies for wellness promotion, disease prevention, and disaster management in communities and populations utilizing evidence based practice. Emphasis is on global health and the epidemiologic principles that affect the health of vulnerable populations. This course provides students the opportunity to plan and implement a service learning project in a vulnerable population community.
