Topics address recently identifi edcurrent events, skills, knowledge, and/ or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student profi ciency. Advanced Inspection? CStudy of the different types of building systems and materials used in the design and construction of real property. A continuation of RELE 2305 Real Estate Inspections. Review of the more complex issues in electrical, structural, HVAC, appliances, plumbing and wood destroying insects. Active inspections will be conducted. Includes different structural building systems with emphasis on wood-related products, concrete and concrete masonry, brick, stone, and steel units. The Texas Real Estate Commission Promulgated Property Condition Addendum will be addressed along with inspector and client agreements, tools, procedures, and electro-mechanical systems. Real Estate Inspections Topics- Current and timely inspection topics will be discussed and the student will be prepared for the Texas Commission Inspector Licensing Exam. Case studies and fi eld trips will be utilized. The course will include an in-depth review of residential and commercial real estate structures, inspections, building codes and the National Association of Home Inspectors' and the American Society of Home Inspectors' code of Ethics and Standards. Insurance, liability issues, recent course cases and the impact of disclosure laws and their affect on the profession will be covered. The Texas Real Estate Commission Promulgated Property Condition Addendum will be addressed along with inspector and client agreements, tools, and procedures.
