Application of techniques acquired in previous course work as well as mastery of assessment theory in practice. Exploration of material in the Writings bearing on the teaching of reading, and individual differences in language, reading, and writing performance among students. Formal, informal, and portfolio assessment to assist preservice teachers in constructive evaluation. Exploration and selection of methods and material congruent with the assessment findings. Case studies and current experience integrated throughout the course. Prerequisite: Education 128, Education 235. Psychology 101 recommended. 3 Credits. Winter. Staff
