Using one of the finest collections of medieval art in the world (Glencairn Museum) this course surveys the art of Medieval Europe, particularly that of France, focusing on the evolution of sacred imagery, and how it effects and shapes the attitudes of the period. The course is followed by a faculty led, two-week optional trip to France. Students who go on the trip receive one additional credit. 4 Credits. (Not Offered 2008/09)
