A study of the laws of thermodynamics and their application to solutions and phase equilibria, and chemical kinetics. Laboratory emphasis on applications of thermodynamic and kinetic principles and writing laboratory reports in journal format. Prerequisite: MAT 141, MAT 142 and PHY 101 (which may be concurrent).
