Emphasis is given to the fundamental problems of human existence and their solution in the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Puranic literature. Includes an examination of the importance of sacrifice, the sacramental and social structure of life, myth, the Hindu temple, puja, festivals and pilgrimage.
