By studying the canonical works of that moment (Rousseau, Feijoo, Cadalso, Jovellanos, Miranda, Bolivariable, Zorrilla, Rivas, Larra, Espronceda, Gomez de Avellaneda, Goya) the class will explore the achievements, contradictions and failures of the enlightenment as well as the new organization by Romanticism in Spain and Latin America.
