Introduces: 1) the fundamentals of structures including statics, strength and stability of materials, 2) structural concepts, systems, and the tracing of structural loads using basic principles, physical modeling, and theoretical and analytical methods, 3) the interrelationship between strain, stress, and stability, and the implications of tension, compression, shear, torsion, and bending.
