Introduction to the history of art education, theories of artistic development, teaching and learning in K-12 art settings and planning lessons. A twenty-hour practicum, in which students observe art teacher behavior in schools and assist students, is a required part of the course. A grade of 'B' or better is required for admittance to art teacher licensure. Lecture. 3 contact hours. (Fall, Spring)
