Prerequisite: ESCI 1101-1101L or GEOL 1200-1200L, or permission of instructor. Physical fundamentals of remote sensing and overview of airborne and satellite systems operating in the visible, infrared, and radar regions, and a review of applications for resource exploration, environmental studies, land use and land cover analysis, and natural hazards. Three lecture hours and one three-hour lab per week. (Fall)
