This course will discuss body image through varying perspectives: size discrimination, advertising and consumerism, eating disorders, cosmetic surgery, self-image/male gaze, health vs. beauty, etc. All perspectives will be examined as they are projected across the intersection of sexism, racism, classism, ageism and sexuality.
