This course focuses on the modern views of management theory and skills necessary to be an effective manager and competent leader in a changing environment. Areas covered, include strategic and operational planning, decision-making, organizing, successful delegation, controlling, human resources, communication, leadership and motivation. Additional areas covered include corporate social responsibility, ethics, managing diversity, building work teams, and the possibilities opened up for managers by new technology. Recommended Prerequisite: BADMU 104.66
