Through the use of computer graphics technology, students learn how to use the powerful and creative tools in Adobe Illustrator to create original artwork, edit clipart, and generate unusual and stylized text. Emphasis will be placed on the use of vector/object-oriented software as a design tool in the fields of graphic and fine art. The course also includes a discussion regarding the considerations necessary for final output including color models, resolution, inkjet and offset printing, and preparation for the Web. Prerequisites: CITU 101 & 102 or equivalent.
