This course introduces the student to the concepts, tools, and applications of personal finance and investments. It assumes little or no prior knowledge to this subject matter and focuses on helping the student understand the process of financial planning and the logic that drives it. For many students, this course is their initial and only exposure to personal finance. Tools, techniques, and equations are easily forgotten but logic and fundamental principles that drive their use, once understood, will stay.
