This course is designed to prepare potential riding instructors, introducing fundamentals of teaching in regard to teaching philosophy, learning psychology, riding theory, and powers of instruction. Practice teaching will be included. Labs are designed to prepare students for CHA and BHS Instructor Certifications. Required observations outside of regularly scheduled class hours will be assigned. Prerequisite: Basic Schooling and Principles of Jumping. 2 hours Lecture and 2 hours Laboratory - 3 credits
