Introduces elementary to probability, descriptive and inferential statistics, measures of central tendency, variation and design of experiments. Emphasizes estimating population parameters from normal and binomial distributions, hypothesis testing for one-and two-sample problems, correlation, simple linear regressions, contigency tables, and hypothesis testing for goodness-of- fit and independence. Prerequisite: MATH 0305 with a "C" or better, ME05, or by placement exam. (3:0).
