Offers pharmaceutical mathematics including reading, interpreting, and solving calculation problems encountered in the preparation and distribution of drugs. Includes conversion of measurements within the apothecary, avoirdupois, and metric systems with emphasis on the metric system of weight and volume. Includes topics on ratio and proportion, percentage, dilution and concentration, milliequivalents, units, intravenuous flow rates, and solving dosage problems. A grade of "C" or better is required in this course to take the next course. Prerequisite: MATH 0301 or by placement exam. (2:3). Lab fee.
