This course is designed for DeafStudents and taught in American Sign Language. Students develop comprehension skills in both American Sign Language (ASL) and written English. Emphasis is on comprehension skills such as identifying the main idea and supporting details as well as developing the ability to analyze inferences and fi gurative language through active translation between the languages. Features fi ction and nonfi ction ASL works as well as written English texts. This course is not for college-level credit. Repeatable for up to six credit hours. Course Type: D
