The bridgingcourse from the academic clinical environmental to entry to the profession. Critical thinking skills, time management, and self assessment are emphasized for the practical application of dental hygiene theory; patient cases involve medically compromised, advanced complex treatment cases, pediatric and special needs populations. A health- related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional.
