A study of the fundamentals ofcurriculum design and implementation in developmentally appropriate programs for children. Topics covered include developmentally appropriate practices; curricula models; and anti-bias curricula. Requires 3 hours per week of supervised fi eldwork with young children. Insurance Fee: $13.50 Prerequisites: TECA 1311 or CDEC 1311 and DEVR 0303 and DEVW 0403 or satisfactory score on appropriate placement test. Student must be eligible for fi eld experiences by passing a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and meet the Child Development Department's policies for fi eld experiences.
