The course continues Intermediate Arabic I. Prerequisite: IST 271. Horesh In Fall, 2008, Franklin & Marshall will introduce a 4-year Mandarin Chinese language sequence, adding one level each year. A teaching assistant will work with the instructor to expand students' exposure to both the language and the culture of China. The timing of the course offerings permits students to move through the sequence in consecutive semesters. In recent years Franklin & Marshall students have been participating in study abroad programs in Beijing (CET and IES).
