This course provides an overview of human cognitive processes. Topics covered include knowledge acquisition, memory, concept formation, text processing, thinking, problem solving, and decision making. We will compare several approaches to the study of cognition, and we will examine and evaluate both classic and contemporary theory and research. Research activities and analyses integrated into course work. Prerequisite: PSY 100 or permission. Corequisite: PSY 230 or BIO 210. Same as PSY 305. M. Anderson
