Purification and characterization of biological molecules with a focus on proteins, enzymes, lipids and carbohydrates. Techniques important for isolation and characterization of these molecules will be learned and applied in the laboratory. Techniques experiments to include electrophoresis, spectroscopy, centrifugation, drug binding to proteins and kinetic analysis. Lab fee $40. Spring semester, odd years. Pre or Corequisite: CHM 317.
